The Ceremony
Picture this… calm waters, beautiful countryside views, your favourite people gathered by the water, and the two of you saying your vows whilst floating on paddleboards in the heart of Lincolnshire- how amazing is that!!
At Stockwith Mill, your ceremony can be as relaxed, romantic or adventurous as you want it to be. Choose a fully legal wedding ceremony or a celebrant-led ceremony.
As guests watch seated from the waters edge, you will paddle from the pontoon to exchange your “I Do’s” in a setting unlike anywhere else.
Let your vowels ripple to your guests across the River Lymn! Just imagine the photos!!
The adventure is only just beginning... after your ceremony on the water you can take a relaxed woodland walk with a drink in hand to celebrate the most memorable wedding ceremony ever!!
Your Wedding Coordinator will guide your guests to our Mill Lawn where they can enjoy a much needed reception drink and our fully licensed Mill Bar will be open throughout your wedding.
We are not your run of the mill venue... we want your wedding to be celebrated and enjoyed your way.

Our dancefloor has views of rural Lincolnshire and you can choose your music style. A DJ, band or playlist... remember this is your day!

FAQs
Is it an actual legal wedding ceremony?
Absolutely- Lincolnshire Registry Services will conduct the ceremony (the Registrars will be on dry land) or you can have a Celebrant led service.
Do my guests watch from the waters edge?
They sure do- they will have uninterrupted seated views across the water from the waters edge. Don't worry they will be close enough to hear your vowels and stay dry at the same time!!
Do we need to provide our own paddleboards?
You do... and you need to actually be competent paddleboarders! You will need to provide the paddleboards and any equiptment needed.
Should we bring two outfits?
The great thing is you can choose what to wear for the ceremony... but an outfit number 2 is definitely recommended just in case!
What if the weather changes on the day?
Do not worry we have options... our covered Exchange is a beautiful ceremony area surrounded by wild flowers... you can have your SUP boards in the photos and if the weather breaks during the day (which is extremely likely) then you can have some photos on the boards on the water later!
